It’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything here. I’m not really sure why that is, but I’m hoping this is the start of more frequent postings. Here is a card I created for the Clean And Simple challenge at The Outlawz. The challenge was to create a project that features one or many balloons. I’m not sure if this girl is bashful, or if she’s trying to hide that balloon behind her back!
I finally found the time to finish up the page Tracy Weinzapfel showed us last Monday night during her Ustream show. The page we created is called “Steps.” The quote on the page is, “Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must, but take the step.”
The quote resonates with me because of all the changes that have been happening in my life over the last couple of years. I find that most days I am still tip toeing along, but at least I’m still moving!
Here is my page.
If you get the chance, check out Mixed Media Mondays with Tracy Weinzapfel. You can find her on Ustream on Monday nights 9 pm (EST).
Last night I got this huge craving for cake. I just had to have some cake! The problem was that it was it was close to 9:00 pm, my kitchen had already been cleaned from dinner, and there wasn’t anybody else in the house that wanted cake. The truth is that I shouldn’t have wanted anything to do with cake either. But I did. And I wanted cake B-A-D bad!
What could I do? I remembered that I had seen recipes online for cakes that can be made in coffee mugs in the microwave. This seemed like the perfect solution for my cake emergency! A quick internet search returned oh-so-many recipes. I chose one of the recipes, and set to work baking a coffee mug chocolate cake in my microwave. It took me maybe 5 to 10 minutes to assemble the ingredients in my mug, and an additional 3 minutes to “bake” the cake in the microwave. In less than 15 minutes I had cake! I was so very happy! I satisfied the cake craving!
