Magazine Mondays – Week Thirty-Seven

Every Monday, PaperCrafter’s Corner posts a magazine cover on their blog as inspiration for their weekly challenge.  Based on the magazine covers, we are asked to create a papercraft project (card, art journal, scrapbook layout, etc.).

Here is the inspiration for this week.

The yellow and red pages reminded me of a traffic light, and the exclamation points commanded my attention.  Those elements provided the inspiration for this Thank You card.

I painted the background colors with watercolor paints.  I substituted green for red because GO is way more fun than STOP.  I borrowed the Merci and Gracias stamps from Kerri at Kerri’s Kreations.  The Gracias stamp didn’t have exclamation points, so I improvised by inking the “i” from Merci and stamping at the front and end of Gracias.  I doodled around the card edge and a little bit in the middle with markers.  I think it turned out to be a fun little card.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you at the next Magazine Monday challenge. 🙂
