Magazine Mondays – Week Thirty

Every Monday, PaperCrafter’s Corner posts a magazine cover on their blog as inspiration for their weekly challenge.  Based on the magazine covers, we are asked to create a papercraft project (card, art journal, scrapbook layout, etc.).

Here is the inspiration for this week.

I decided to create in my art journal.  A little acrylic paint, collaged magazine images (from The Great Courses catalog), stencils, and stamps, and I created this.

Magazine challenge 30

The layout and the geometric shapes are indeed similar to the original, but the images of people are a little different.  For some strange reason, I was inspired to use people whose backs were all turned.  Not sure what that’s all about, but it was fun creating in my journal.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you at the next Magazine Monday challenge. 🙂
